Since 1984, the Ada County Free Library District—known as Ada Community Library—has provided community-focused library services to residents outside city library systems. Governed by a volunteer Board of Trustees and primarily funded through property taxes, the district now includes four branches and a mobile library serving Star, North County, and South County. With a strong commitment to transparency, fiscal responsibility, and compliance with Idaho law, the library continues to grow alongside its communities. We invite you to learn more, get involved, and vote in the upcoming trustee election on May 20.
Trustee Election on May 20. Every two years, in odd-numbered years, elections for library trustees are held in the three independent library districts in Ada County—Meridian, Kuna, and Ada County Free Library District (Ada Community Library). Registered voters throughout the library district are encouraged to vote for the trustee candidates of their choice. Because our library district is in three disconnected geographical areas, it might be difficult to determine if you live in the district. If uncertain, call Ada County Election Services at 208-287-6860 and provide your address and you will be informed of your status. Or, go to adacounty.id.gov/elections.
Ada County Election Services describes three different ways you can vote: absentee voting, early voting, or voting on May 20.
We want to help continue the great work and mission of the Ada Community Library. We try not to be biased, but we sincerely believe we have the very best library in Ada County, with the very best staff, and the very best leadership! We ask for your vote so we can continue the great work of the Ada Community Library!
